After we ate tonight the family had a little something planed.  We went to the observatory to see Venus and Saturn, which was pretty awesome.  We me Josh and Jessica's families there.  There was a little lecture about what was going on with the planets.  It was all in Korean so I didnt know everything he was saying but I did understand some of it.  The guy that owned the place had three telescopes and we were able to look out of two of them.  They look super expensive.  It was pretty amazing getting to go there and see the planets up close like that.  After we left there we went to go get some patbingsu or patbingsoo with Josh's family.  I was not really up to trying it because it has this bean paste stuff in it that me and Jessica HATE!!!! We bought something one day and that stuff was in it and ever since then we hate it.  But when the patbingsu came out it looked ok so I decided to try it.  IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!  I took my statement back earlier that I had told Josh about me not liking patbingsu.  I wish we had it in America.  I'm gonna have to learn how to make it and share it with yall at home. It has ice cream, cereal, fruit, bean paste stuff, ice shavings, and maybe some other stuff.  I'm gonna have to have it again before I come back to the states.

We went to a temple and mountain today.  Both were pretty nice.  It was just really cold and wet.  We all pushed through it and tried to stay positive.  Most of us were still a little sore from the 108 prostrations we did while we were at the temple stay but we made it.  So after that we ate lunch. Then off to the mountain.  I was pretty tired and cold so I was not really in the mood to hike up and down a mountain for two hours, but I was trying not to show it.  Thank God there was a sky lift.  I wasn’t in the budget to ride the lift but the vice principal of the girls school came out of pocket and paid for everyone to ride up and down,  which was extremely generous of him.  I believe every one of us greatly appreciated what he did.  We were able to see the top of the mountain which was beautiful, fog and all.  My host family and a few of the other families got together to eat dinner tonight. Josh’s host mom really like my hair and even asked if it was mine, which I thought was funny.  I really enjoyed myself tonight.  I’m glad I got paired with this family. The whole family seems pretty cool. I guess I will get to meet Taehee’s farther tomorrow when he comes back home.  He will probably be just as nice as the rest of the family.

Today we meet the important people of Seong Su Girls High school.  They all seemed really nice and glad to have us at there school.  I also found out that I would be staying with a girl named Hwang, Taehee.  She lives with her mom, dad, and younger bother.  We were able to talk a little bit so far and she seems pretty cool.  The teachers, principals, and our host students all went out to eat.  We ate some Chuncheon style chicken barbecue that I thought was really good.  My host student doesnt really like it though.  After we ate her mom came to get us and we went back to their house.  It was a nice apartment, very open and cute.  Taehee wanted some ice cream so we meet up with Rachael and her buddy to go get some Baskin-Robbins.  Over all it was a pretty good introduction to Chuncheon.

We had a temple stay and that was very interesting. It had its ups and downs but overall it was a good experience.  So we arrived there around 12:00 in the afternoon.  We had to climb up a hill just to get there. I guess its just more practice for The Great Wall.  But anyways we just walked around for a little to take pictures and look around before we ate.  The food was all vegan.  And if you know me you know Im not to big on vegetables.  However I did find something to eat, which was mostly rice.  After we ate we went and changed into our temple stay clothes.  We meditated that night and in the morning.  We had to be up by 4:30 in the morning to do morning meditations.  Also when we ate breakfast we had to eat EVERYTHING!!!!! Anything you put on your plate you had to eat.  We also did a mountain walk.  Which was AMAZING!!! The view was beautiful. The walk was worth every step. After that we said goodbye and thanks and went on our way to the Incheon bus terminal to head to Chunchun, South Korea.

After the DMZ we ate dinner.  We had pizza and pasta!!!!!  It was great.  This was our farewell dinner so it was a little bittersweet.  We gave our buddies little gifts for helping us so much while we were here.  After dinner we all went to karaoke.  I've never done it before so I was a littler nervous when we got there but eventually I was ok.  We all sung and really had a great time. We may not have had the greatest of voices but we all had a blast. It was the perfect way to end our stay at Incheon University :)

Today was an early day.  : /   Had to be ready by 6:00 am.  And no I was not late!!! I was on time and ready to go.  However I did have to bang on some peoples door to wake them up. We went to the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). Look it up.   It took us a while to get there but it was ok.  We meet up with random people for the tour.  It was mostly all foreigners on the tour.  We couldnt take pictures everywhere here so I dont have as many as other places.  One interesting thing we did was travel through the third infiltration tunnel North Korea made to get into South Korea.  It was a work out for sure, but it was a once in a lifetime thing so it was worth it.  (and sorry for some of the flipped pictures i couldnt get them to change)

Today we went to Hyundai Steels in Dangjin. We left from the guest house around 8:000 am.  For lunch we had quiznos subs.  It was good to have something familiar.  After we ate we went to the factory.  We were given a tour but we couldnt really take that many pictures around the company.  Have to keep things under wraps so they can stay at the top.  I believe they were in either the top 5 or top 10 best steel companies.  It was pretty interesting we got to see them take the steel and heat it, cool it, and wind it up in a giant sheet ball.  We stopped by the market first to look around a little bit then we went to eat.  We ate this chicken soup thing. It was good.  We dont get to eat chicken alot so that was amazing to have.  Jessica really really really liked it.  Our Korean buddies were there as well and they always make it a great time.

Today was another great day.  This time Lauren decided to join us on our little "adventure".  I believe we went out further then we did yesterday.  The first place we went to was Coex mall.  It was ok, to pricey for us though.  We probably could of skipped that place but it whatever you live and learn.  After that we split up.  Lauren went to go see a theater show type thing and we went to fashion city.  It was interesting walking around down there.  There were lots of people mostly teenage girls, but that was pretty much a given.  We then left there and meet back up with Lauren in Insadong.  We all did a little shopping there.  That was pretty much my favorite place to shop and look around.  Lauren bought a lot of things while we were out which was good because we had such little time there when we were with our korean buddies.  We did have to leave a little earlier then we would of probably liked to because the group was planning to do karaoke that night.  So we tried to get back on time but that didnt happen. We were about 30 min or so late.  But it didnt matter in the end cause the other group got back about 10 min before we did.  And most of them were really tired so they had decided that they were not going to go out anyways.  Overall it was a good and productive day and I was glad that me, Lauren, Rachael, and Jessica all got to get out and see some more of the city together.  The subways were definitely interesting today.

Today was a day where we could pretty much do what ever we wanted to do.  Me, Rachael, and Jessica decided to go out and explore.  This may worry some of my family aka my parents.  But all went well nobody snatched me up and we didnt get lost.  It was a great day we had a wonderful time exploring Korea.  We took a bus and subway to get around.  It was interesting learning the subway system.  But definitely a good experience.  We traveled to the Sinpo Underground Shopping Center, China Town, and maybe possibly walked through some sort of Japanese Town but we werent sure lol. I really loved my free day with the girls. It was good to just do our own thing and not really have a time limit.  We could take our time and shop and look around freely.  This first free day was AWESOME and I hope the next one is just as great.

We went to Seoul today and our Korean buddies joined us :).  Which is one of the bigger cities in Korea, I believe.  We had to take a bus then a subway to get there but we did eventually get there.  While we were waiting on the subway Rachael dropped her camera and of course the batteries fell onto the track and all we could do was look at them.  Luckily Lauren had some batteries that she could use. We got on the subway and made our way to Seoul.  When we got there we went ahead a ate lunch.  It was pretty good.  It was one of the meals that we had to cook ourselves.  After we ate we went SHOPPING!!!!!! Everyone was pretty excited about that.  We were in some kind of market and it had lots and lots of stores.  The place was huge.  I could have spent a whole day there but we didnt have the whole day.  But the stuff I did get to look at was very nice.  We then walked to a river, I cant remember the name of it though.  I was so tired and sick of walking, but I made it there.  We were able to sit and hangout by the water for a while which was really nice.  Some people that were on the other side of the river took some pictures of us and with us.  They were really sweet.  We left the river and walked to the temple down the street.  We were able to go inside and look around for a bit.  They were really nice. We walked around, took some pictures, and bought a few things at the gift shop.  We came to find out that June really likes slushies. After that we took the subway to Insadong to eat and do some more shopping.  This again was a place I probably could have shopped in all day.  Even if most of it was just window shopping.  We ate dinner and Ashlin and Rachael seemed like they had the best meal ever!!!  They were really excited to have some cheese.  We took taxis back and it felt forever so alot of us took a little nap.  We had a good time in Seoul and we will definitely have to make a point to go back when we get a chance.
